The scouting report

“

I've known him as both a teammate and roommate, and I can honestly say he's one of the toughest and most genuine people I know. After overcoming multiple knee surgeries and an Achilles injury, he never stopped leading by example or pushing those around him to be better. He holds people accountable because he truly wants the best for them. If you want a coach who will build confidence, character, and a strong work ethic, not just basketball skills, he's someone I'd trust with any athlete.

The game plan

The Elevated Method

Not motivation. A system. Motivation wears off by Tuesday; a trained mind holds up in the fourth quarter.

01

THE TEACHER IN ME

Learn it

Confidence, focus and pressure aren't personality traits. They're skills with mechanics. First we make the mental game make sense.

02

THE COACH IN ME

Train it

Then we rep it: a pre-game routine, a quick reset for bad plays, self-talk that coaches instead of criticizes, built into the actual training week.

03

THE ATHLETE IN YOU

Live it

Then we pressure-test it where it matters: under the lights, down on the scoreboard. We rep it until it stops being something you do and becomes who you are.

About Sean

These aren't lessons I learned from a textbook. They're lessons I had to live.

Lisbon to Edinburgh, Barking Abbey to the Commonwealth Games, NCAA Division II as a player and then as a coach, with several surgeries in between. Everything I coach came out of that road.
